#Nikon camera control pro 2 usb update
I just needed to update to 2.1 so it recognizes the D60.
#Nikon camera control pro 2 usb Pc
I've got it to work on my PC running Vista. So i guess the front usb outlets on the PC case are considered usb hub, as when I plugged the camera on the motherboard direct outlet on the back of the PC case - surprise- it WORKED and CCPro recognized the camera. So everyone- don't use your front usb outlets but the once on the rear! Cheers!Įdit: still no USB mode change menu on the camera :) hope it will be fixed soon OK everybody, after struggling with this issue for few days again and again, something rung a bell.after people saying it works as it should, i remembered reading that it will not work if connected to a usb hub. Yes there is an update CCPro 2.1.0 which is supposed to add support for D60, but doesn't work for me /yet/ for unknown reason? Maybe Microsoft got ONE thing right on that OS? Vista users don't seem to have a problem, but that's a first. Nikon does make preemptive claims sometimes. ĭoes CC-Pro have an update I don't know about? I looked before, but didn't find one.
But some people say though it worked for them, that is why I want to understand if there is any secret.

The thing is that NIKON claims it works with CCPro, i tried the trial just to see what it is like, out of curiousity and was badly surprised it didn't work. If you want to use Camera Control Pro, you're going to have to use a "pro" camera. Most of the people using the D60 don't have the need to shoot tethered.
I got yelled at for saying this before, but it's true. Nikon is really marketing this camera at the introductory market. Wow, so I am not the only one?! Don't know if I should be happy though! Thank you for your fast answer Denny, anyone else? I'm sure the USB transfer mode is the problem. Oh, and I wasn't able to get CC-Pro to work with the D60 either. Sometimes I don't have my card reader with me so then I have go through Transfer which ads more steps to my workflow. My operating system doesn't recognize when the camera is connected so I either have to use a card reader or Nikon Transfer.
One of the things I brought up in my D60 book was that fact that Nikon left the USB transfer mode out. Wanted to ask all the nikon d60 owners if anybody at all with windows managed to make camera control pro 2.1.0 work and recognize D60? Because I tried on several PCs and the same result- CCPro does NOT recognize D60 at all.Īlso, NIKON seems to have forgotten to put in the menu option to change USB transfer mode: PTP/Mass storage ?!!! How nice is that.īest regards to all and thank you in advance for sharing your own experience!
